Just because you don’t understand it, it doesn’t mean it’s not right. This is an epidemic worse than our current pandemic. It’s nothing new, however it appears to be getting worse. Subjects that people clearly don’t understand are passionate subject matter in conversation.

How can we have so many people claiming knowledge in fields they have no experience? Is it more about drama and entertainment that tantalises the taste buds of the public now?

We only ask that people understand the bare minimum before entering into a logical conversation. At least that way we are all discussing the same topic with some authority.

Our additional advise is, don’t ban everything. Educate, learn and comprehend. Truly understand your subject matter

Coping with being bitten is quite an undertaking as it can really change your perspective. It really can be something difficult to comprehend as it feels so personal.

Being bitten can and does change your relationship with your dog as it can leave you feeling violated. It can make you question your confidence and safety with your dog and many times your ability as a trainer.

In this episode we try and make a little sense of why these things happen and give suggestions on how to cope. However, as we are not psychologists, we can only make recommendations when thoughts are too serious.

In the event you do find yourself struggling with your thoughts, we always recommend the council of a trained professional. One to examine the dogs behaviour and perhaps someone to help with your thoughts.

Dogs bite for a lot of reasons, therefore we suggest being aware of the events leading up to being bitten. Although this is a helpful suggestion, it may not always be practical.

Interviewing a new trainer should be a process that all new and existing dog owners strongly consider.

We say this because a lot of time, people end up with the wrong trainer for a range of different reasons. Many of these are because they didn’t do their homework in the first place. Other reasons include being duped by clever marketing.

It’s forgiveable to assume, big add, lots of money so they must be a great trainer. It can also mean that they are just great at marketing and average at the important part.

This really needs to be a win/win scenario which results in a great outcome for you and your dog

Firmin may sound like a gruff, grumpy old bastard, however in reality he has a heart of gold. He still is all those things and more but he will drop everything to help out his mates and the industry.

Recently Jason has been embarking on an incredible weight loss journey which he really needed to do due to several health concerns. Firmin shares his battle with obesity and complications that almost cost him a leg.

Diminishing return is an episode that focus’s around a point of obsession. That area is based around people who too much of something, which throws their life plan out of balance.

For example, think of a student who studies for a job. Once they get the qualification, they then feel that perhaps they should do some more study to stay ahead of the game. Then, after they finish that course, they enrol in another and then another and so on. Now they are in a phase of diminishing return.

In the field of economics, diminishing returns has a different meaning which is, s the decrease in the marginal output of a production process as the amount of a single factor of production is incrementally increased, while the amounts of all other factors of production stay constant.
