Boyd Hooper is a name that has been mentioned on this Podcast and in many circles around Australia. Boyd was Glenn’s first coach in bite work training, which is where Boyd really made a name for himself from the very early 1990’s up.

Many of the freedoms and liberties that we have still been able to enjoy in the Australian dog industry have largely been thanks to Boyd and the other industry Titans that stood in the way.

Before many of the known groups reared their heads up to minimise access to training and tool use, Boyd was one who regularly stood fast in opposition and rebutted with prepared science and logical debate.

In addition, Boyd was an early pioneer of established training for the Australian Dog community in both customer and trainer education platforms, providing training to many thousands over a 40 year period.

It’s a great honour to have him join us for our 200th show as it is to have all of you who regularly join us and largely support our work.
