The minimum effective dose can be reference to many things. You may look at it and feel that the word, dose would mean medicine or vaccine. Given the turbulent times we are all in and how much news that’s all making it would almost seem like a no brainer.

However in this context, the word dose is reflecting on amount. It was something that Pat mentioned during the episode recording which is how I, (Glenn) often come up with a name for each episode. During the edit, something either one of us says or something we have heard is the motivation behind the naming.

It closely relates to the concept of, No more one more time, which is discussed alongside this heading to remind us how to all be far better at communicating with our dogs.

The wisdom of Dave Kroyer by good fortune is something that has been vastly accessible through his on-line coaching. In this industry, you can really tell a lot about the holistic nature of someone when they have tasted success.

Dave Kroyer is a classic example of someone who has been successful and is still very modest and approachable. These are many of the traits that some cruel hearted and egotistical masters will never know.

You can never truly reach great heights AND experience peace unless you have honestly figured this out. To some, this is out of their reach, to others they have to choose it along the way when that cross road presents itself.

When we do have access to the mastery of someone like Dave Kroyer, make good use of the opportunity and seize it. Plus he’s a cool guy with a great sense of humour.

Working Dog Radio is a podcast show run by Ted Stickels and Eric Stanbro. The ethos of their program is around working dogs in all applications.

Most guests on working dog radio are either Police or Military and they share their experiences and stories.

Ivan Balabanov is one of the most recognised master coaches in the sporting dog world. Ivan has a career spanning 40 years in the dog training industry and has amassed multiple titles.

He has achieved 2 world champion positions through IGP, he’s a celebrated FCI judge and author. In fact you would have to be living in a vacuum if your are in the dog world and have never heard his name.

Credentials aside, Ivan has done enormous work for advocacy in both balanced training and the use of tools. He has brought creditable knowledge to the table and assisted in educating leagues of mislead souls.

Purpose breeding puppies is usually on the minds of owners, trainers, breeders. We wouldn’t say that’s always the case as there are so many people who did it without reason.

Puppies and puppy breeding have come under a lot of scrutiny in the last 10 years. Namely as there are so many puppies that never makes it to adulthood.

However, puppies do play an important part into preserving lineage of carefully planned breeding.

You can’t handle the V8 is a metaphor in relation to how a dog owner may desire a strong dog. Even though they want this type of dog, they may not be ready for it. If they ignore the advise or signs and go ahead and get their V8 dog, it’s going to be schooling.

so, if it’s the V8 dog you desire, do your homework. Know what you’re going to get into. Work with people that understand that type of dog and can show you how to live your collective best lives.

The six p’s is an episode that focuses entirely on being a better organised dog owner or handler. The six p’s mean that proper preparation prevents piss poor performance.

It’s an expression that’s been around for quite a while and is still used frequently in many services. When you think about it though, it’s hard to argue with. When you have a plan, it makes the operation so much easier. It relieves stress, because you’re organised, it increases the time factor, it prevents frustration and adds more value to your life.

There are so many positive factors that it’s almost hard to think we wouldn’t do it. However we are human. It’s easy for us to become motivated by other pursuits.

If it sounds familiar, it’s something that annoys us about our own dogs behaviour. Therefore, if we identify it early, we can collectively work on resolving that as an issue as well.

It sounds like like a lot to do but it will make your life far more enjoyable. Just think of the six p’s.
